The project is the first wind farm generating electricity in Central America. The project includes 55 wind turbines model 33M-VS, supplied by Kenetech. The towers provided were a combination from Spain and Ukraine, and are lattice type. The general contractor for this project was CNF, a subsidiary of kenetech, from USA. |

Saret’s Participation: |

Saret was
in charge of doing all tower setup and installation, as well as the turbines
and propellers. Saret also built the switch yard and made the hookup to ICE’s
grid. Minor activities were also performed, including repairing of tower base
plates at our heavy metal fabrication shop. |
