The Puntarenas Free Trade Zone was built in 1992 with an area of 25 hectares. Currently only 15% of the park is in operation with another 85% being readily available for new projects. The Park is located in Santa Rosa de Barranca which is only 80 km( 50 miles) from the capital city of San Jose and only 10 minutes from the Port of Caldera,the only port on the Pacific side of Costa Rica.
The location provides an abundance of qualified labour ,excellent infrastructure and basic industrial buildings designed with a steel frame structure, seismic protection and reinforced concrete panel walls constructed by GRUPO CORPORATIVO SARET.
The Park offers all of the following services: · Full Perimeter 24 hour security · Maintenance of Common Areas · Banking · Medical Clinic · Garbage Collection
There is also an on site personnel recruitment center with a database of about 4,000 pre screened workers and a nearby branch of the INA (Costa Rica National Training Institute). The INA offers government subsidized training programs. |
