In 1983 the production of concrete panels for prefabricated buildings and low-income housing was initiated. Shortly after, a shop was open for the fabrication of steel buildings, bridges and other heavy related structures. Later in 1986 SARET was involved in real estate, creating industrial parks to host free trade zone industries, and extending the activity to the hotel industry with a community resort and hotel in the south pacific of the country. Most recently, SARET has focused its interest towards the construction of hydro, wind, thermal and geothermal generating projects, under the turnkey concept. SARET is the only Central American Company that has been able to consolidate the fields of design, land works, civil construction, mechanical and electric works, equipment supply, heavy fabrication, specialized transport and start-up. The variety and excellence of the services supplied by the Saret Group Corporation have brought along a growing prestige and in consequence an increase in the demand for these services. Inclusively, the interests oriented to stimulate the construction and engineering industries in Central America have made the company to get across the country's frontier. The technology of the Group is present in projects all over Central America, Panama, Mexico, Venezuela, the United States and even in countries as far as Mauritius and Kenya in the African Continent.

All companies of the Saret Group Corporation have always been concerned with the maximization in the usage of the resources, in producing excellent quality at a reasonable price and delivering on the time requested by the clients. This attitude has prepared the Group to face the economic openness of the country with enthusiasm and with the certainty of a better future. Today, The Saret Group Corporation has three divisions carrying out independent activities, but still being closely related. GENERAL CONTRACTING DIVISION is the first of the three} divisions and handles the Heavy Metal Fabrication, General contracting, Engineering and Design and Machinery and Equipment Rental Sub-Divisions.

The second is REAL ESTATE DIVISION, covering all aspects related to the development of real estate projects, including the development of industrial parks and free zones, and everything related to reforesting and the agribusiness and cattle-raising. ENERGY DIVISION is the third subsidiary and specializes in the development of electric power generation projects. This Division has different percentages of the shares in projects selling electricity to the Costa Rican distribution system. The experience gained with the construction of more than 120 industrial plants placed the Saret Group Corporation among the business groups with greater projection capabilities in the region. The Saret Group Corporation is run by Juan Bautista, Gerardo, Mariano and Miguel Ramirez S., whom through a wide vision and vast experience have strengthen the Group, enabling it to face new challenges and demands derived from Globalization.
